Explore your journey day by day

Day 1

Arrival in Coorg & Leisure Evening

Morning / Afternoon:
Arrive at Bengaluru / Mangalore Airport. Private transfer to Coorg (approx. 5–6 hrs scenic drive through hills, forests, and plantations).

Check-in at your resort / homestay amidst coffee plantations. Welcome drink with freshly brewed Coorg filter coffee.
Relax and freshen up.

Evening:

Leisure walk around the resort or nearby coffee & spice plantations. Learn about pepper vines, cardamom, and the coffee-picking process.
Optional: Visit Raja’s Seat – a garden with panoramic valley views, perfect for sunset.

Night:

Dinner with authentic Kodava cuisine (Pandi Curry – spicy pork curry, Noolputtu – rice noodles, Akki Roti, Bamboo Shoot Curry).
Overnight stay in Coorg.

Day 2

Madikeri – Nature & Heritage Exploration

Morning :
Breakfast at hotel.

Drive to Abbey Falls – one of the most famous waterfalls in Coorg, surrounded by coffee plantations and spice estates. Enjoy photography amidst misty cascades.
Visit Madikeri Fort – originally built in the 17th century, offering glimpses of Kodava history and stunning views of the town.

Walk to Omkareshwara Temple – a 19th-century Shiva temple with unique Indo-Islamic architecture.
Afternoon :

Lunch at a local Kodava restaurant – try Chicken Curry with Kadumbuttu (rice dumplings).
Visit Coffee & Spice Markets of Madikeri – shop for homemade chocolates, pepper, cardamom, vanilla, and roasted coffee beans.

Evening :
Return to resort. Optional nature walk or cycling around plantation trails.

Sunset at Raja’s Seat (if not covered on Day 1). Musically lit fountain adds charm.

Night:

Dinner by bonfire with local Coorg folk music/dance (on request at resorts).
Overnight stay in Coorg.

Day 3

Adventure & Cultural Immersion

Morning :
Early breakfast and proceed to Dubare Elephant Camp.

Enjoy activities like feeding elephants, bathing them in the river, and short elephant rides (ethical tourism-based).
If interested, try river rafting in Cauvery River (seasonal – June to September).

Afternoon :
Drive to Bylakuppe – one of the largest Tibetan settlements in South India.

Visit Namdroling Monastery (Golden Temple) – admire the 40-ft golden Buddha statues, Tibetan prayer wheels, and colorful thangkas.
Lunch nearby with Tibetan momos and thukpa (optional).

Evening :
Return to Coorg town and enjoy a coffee plantation tour. Learn how beans are grown, harvested, roasted, and brewed. Participate in a coffee tasting session.

Explore local shops for Coorg honey, homemade wines, and spices.

Night:

Fusion dinner (Kodava + continental dishes).
Overnight stay in Coorg.

Day 4

Scenic Departure via Talakaveri

Morning :
Early check-out and drive to Talakaveri – the sacred origin of River Kaveri in Brahmagiri Hills. Visit the temple and climb to the viewpoint for sweeping views of the Western Ghats.

Continue to Bhagamandala Triveni Sangam – confluence of Kaveri, Kannike, and Sujyoti rivers.

Afternoon:

Breakfast/lunch en route.
Departure to Bengaluru / Mangalore Airport for onward journey.
