Arrival in Haridwar / Rishikesh – The Holy Gateway

Arrive at Haridwar / Rishikesh, the starting point of the pilgrimage.
Check in to your hotel and freshen up.
Take a holy dip in the Ganga at Har Ki Pauri (Haridwar) or Triveni Ghat (Rishikesh).
Afternoon:
Explore sacred sites like Mansa Devi Temple, Chandi Devi Temple (Haridwar) or Ram Jhula, Laxman Jhula, Bharat Mandir (Rishikesh).
Relish a traditional vegetarian meal at a local ashram/dhaba.
Evening:
Attend the divine Ganga Aarti at the ghat, a soulful experience with chanting, bells, and lamps illuminating the river.
Overnight stay at Haridwar / Rishikesh.
Haridwar/Rishikesh to Uttarkashi – On the Himalayan Route
Morning:
Drive towards Uttarkashi, the base town for Gangotri Yatra.
The journey takes you through winding mountain roads, riverside views, and Himalayan villages.
En route, visit Kashi Vishwanath Temple in Uttarkashi, dedicated to Lord Shiva.
Afternoon:

Arrive at Gangotri Temple, situated at 3,100 meters, dedicated to Goddess Ganga.
Afternoon:
Take a holy dip in the Bhagirathi River near the temple.
Attend darshan and puja at the Gangotri Temple.
Explore nearby attractions:
Bhagirath Shila – the rock where King Bhagirath meditated.
Pandava Gufa – a cave where the Pandavas are believed to have rested.
Surya Kund & Gauri Kund waterfalls near the temple.
Evening:
Attend the enchanting aarti at Gangotri Temple, with the sound of the river flowing beside.
Overnight stay at Gangotri (or Uttarkashi if preferred).
Return Journey – Gangotri to Haridwar / Rishikesh
Morning:
After breakfast, drive back from Gangotri towards Uttarkashi.
