Day 1
Arrival & Spiritual Welcome
- Arrival at Madurai Airport / Rameswaram railway station • Traditional welcome with arti, tilak & garlands • Check-in at beachside resort / heritage hotel • Evening visit to Agnitheertham (sacred sea bathing ghat) for blessings • Dinner with authentic South Indian vegetarian feast (banana leaf style) • Overnight stay at resort
Day 2
Temple Darshan & Rituals
- Early morning Sacred Bath (22 holy wells) inside Ramanathaswamy Temple • Special Darshan & Pooja at Ramanathaswamy Temple for bride & groom • Afternoon visit to Ramar Patham (where Lord Rama is believed to have stood) • Local sightseeing: Panchamukhi Hanuman Temple, Pamban Bridge, Dhanushkodi beach (end point of India) • Evening: Bhajan Sandhya with devotional music at the resort • Dinner & overnight stay
Day 3
Mehendi, Haldi & Sangeet
- Morning Haldi Ceremony o Rituals with turmeric, sandalwood, coconut water & temple flowers o Traditional nadaswaram & thavil (South Indian temple music)
- Late Morning Mehendi Function o Courtyard/garden setup with colorful canopies & rangoli décor o Professional mehendi artists for bride & guests o Snacks: Banana chips, murukku, buttermilk, filter coffee
- Afternoon Leisure – beach photoshoot for couple
- Sangeet Evening o Theme: “Rhythms of the South” – Bharatnatyam & Kolattam folk dances + DJ night o Dinner: South Indian thali + North Indian + Continental options • Overnight stay at resort
Day 4
The Divine Wedding Ceremony
- Morning Baraat o Groom’s entry with traditional nadaswaram, thavil & temple chariot-style procession o Family dressed in traditional South Indian attire (silk sarees & veshti)
- Wedding Ceremony o Mandap by the oceanfront or inside a temple courtyard o Sacred rituals with holy water from Agnitheertham & temple priests chanting Vedic mantras o Garland exchange, tying of thaali/mangalsutra, saptapadi (7 steps around fire)
- Wedding Feast o Lavish South Indian feast on banana leaves (idli, dosa, vada, sambhar, rasam, payasam, curd rice, ladoos, etc.)
- Evening Departure or next morning checkout
