Day 1
Arrival & Spiritual Welcome
- Arrival at Dehradun / Haridwar → drive to Barkot (base for Yamunotri) • Traditional welcome with tilak, garlands & conch shell sounds • Evening Ganga-Yamuna Aarti at Barkot Temple • Dinner with authentic Garhwali vegetarian cuisine • Overnight stay in Barkot
Day 2
Yamunotri Darshan & Blessings
- Early morning drive to Janki Chatti → trek/horse/palanquin to Yamunotri Temple • Special Pooja & Darshan at Yamunotri Temple for the couple & family • Sacred Yamuna Jal collection ceremony for the wedding rituals • Visit Surya Kund (hot spring) – ritual cooking of prasad rice in sacred water • Afternoon: Return to Barkot, light lunch with Garhwali delicacies • Evening: Bhajan Sandhya & spiritual kirtan with local singers • Overnight stay at Barkot
Day 3
Mehendi, Haldi & Sangeet
- Morning Haldi Ceremony o Rituals with holy Yamuna Jal, turmeric, and marigold décor o Dhol, nagada & family folk songs
- Late Morning Mehendi Function o Courtyard/garden setup with Himalayan floral décor o Professional mehendi artists for bride & guests o Folk singers narrating Garhwali marriage songs o Refreshments: Herbal teas, local chaat, buttermilk, and snacks
- Afternoon o Leisure time & light lunch with traditional Pahadi dishes
- Sangeet Evening o Theme: “Sacred Rhythms of the Himalayas” – blend of Garhwali folk dance & Bollywood DJ o Dinner: Vegetarian buffet (Garhwali + North Indian + Continental) • Overnight stay in Barkot
Day 4
The Divine Wedding
- Morning Baraat o Groom’s royal entry with horse, dhol, nagada, and conch shells o Family dance along the Himalayan backdrop
- Wedding Ceremony o Mandap set up near the Yamuna riverbank, decorated with marigolds, roses & diyas o Rituals performed with holy Yamuna Jal & Vedic chants by temple priests o Spiritual union invoking blessings of Goddess Yamuna
- Wedding Feast o Pure vegetarian feast with Garhwali thali, North Indian delicacies & live counters
- Evening: Departure or next morning checkout
